Located at the northern tip of Meridian Hill Park, the Meridian Hill Hall gained historic recognition for being a female housing dorm during WWII. It was then transformed into student housing by Howard University in 1969 until Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners acquired the building for luxury apartment development. A variety of historic elements in the building were kept intact and were embellished during the design phase.
We were part of the project during the building survey, schematic design, and design development phases. Occasionally working on the project in the construction document phase as the historic nature of the project meant numerous updates to the unit plans as each layer of history was uncovered.
